LifeLight Christian Music Festival Day 3
Festival prepares for perfect weather and major announcement on its tenth anniversary SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (September 2, 2007)
A perfect weekend of weather has led to record crowds at the tenth anniversary of the LifeLight Christian Music Festival in Sioux Falls, S.D. An estimated 140,000 people attended the second day of the festival, which brings the two-day attendance to 180,000. LifeLight Communications is also planning to make a big announcement regarding next year’s festival schedule. Although parts of Sioux Falls received up to a half inch of rain this morning, the festival grounds at Wild Water West were only sprinkled and received just enough rain to settle the dust. It looks like God is going to give us another beautiful day and we’re looking forward to worshipping the Lord with thousands of people, said festival co-found Alan Greene. The day starts with a community worship service led by Ray Comfort and Paul Baloche at 11:00. More than 40 churches in the area have canceled their morning services and encouraged their congregants to attend the service at LifeLight.
The Main Stage will feature performances from TobyMac, Tait, Building 429, Big Daddy Weave and Casting Pearls. A complete schedule and band bios can be found at Lifelight.
